Strengthening Ties: A Successful Economic Mission to Qatar and Kuwait
From April 26 to 30, 2025, the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (ABLCC) had the great pleasure of participating in a high-level economic mission to Qatar and Kuwait, organized in close collaboration with our esteemed partners hub.brussels, AWEX, and FIT.
Supported by the Embassies of Qatar and Kuwait in Brussels, this mission brought together a delegation of 40 Belgian companies and institutions eager to explore the business potential of two of the Gulf region’s most dynamic markets.
Strategic Engagements & High-Level Meetings
Throughout the week, participating companies engaged in targeted B2B meetings, sectoral briefings, and institutional visits. These included fruitful discussions with:
-
The Ministry of Health
-
The Ministry of Investment
-
The Ministry of Public Works
-
The Port Authorities
-
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry
- The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qatar
- The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kuwait
These high-level engagements reflected the growing potential for collaboration between Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Gulf region in key sectors such as healthcare, infrastructure, logistics, renewable energy, and technology.
Networking & Diplomacy
The mission was further enriched by two exclusive B2B networking sessions and elegant evening receptions hosted by the Belgian Ambassadors —
H.E. William Asselborn in Doha and H.E. Christian Dooms in Kuwait City. These events provided a warm and open platform for connecting with local stakeholders and reinforcing commercial and diplomatic relations.
Cultural Discovery
In addition to business activities, participants were treated to cultural visits that highlighted the rich heritage and modern aspirations of both host countries — an essential dimension for understanding the business context and fostering people-to-people exchanges.
Continued Support from ABLCC
The ABLCC warmly thanks all co-organizers, partners, and participating companies for their trust and collaboration throughout the mission.
We remain fully available to follow up with any company needing support or guidance to build on the connections made during this visit, whether in Qatar or Kuwait.
