21 ABLCC ANNUAL BOARD MEETING AND BRUSSELS FORUM 21 SEPTEMBER 2023 On the occasion of its Board of Director and General Assembly, the ABLCC hosted, on Thursday, September 21, 2023 its annual Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Business Forum which this year, was placed under the sign of sustainable development. The opening session was the opportunity to recal l the framework, the existing approaches, and transformative pathways towards sustainability at the national and international level, by giving the floor to H.E. Dr. Khaled HANAFI, Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers and H.E. Mr. Jeroen COOREMAN, Director-General for Bilateral Affairs at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Chamber put also forward the partnership and cooperation opportunities that exist between the represented countries to bring resources and expertise together to effectively address this challenge. During the ensuing discussion panel, Arab Ambassadors had the opportunity to share their countries’ approach to sustainable development along with their short- and long-term sustainable vision for the future. Finally, after this plenary session, participants had the chance to meet with Economic attachés from Arab Embassies in Brussels, which provided a rare opportunity for them to exchange information face-to-face.
