57 On 17 August 2022, the Arab-BelgianLuxembourg Chamber of Commerce (ABLCC) had the pleassure to arrange a faceto-face meeting with HE Francois Cornet d’Elzius, Ambassador of Belgium to Egypt and Sudan, and a select committee from among its partners and sponsors. This meeting has provided a forum to exchange freely with Ambassador Cornet d’Elzius, to ident i fy and discuss the challenges faced, and, above all, to share their business objectives in Egypt and present the views of the Belgian business community. Needless to say that thanks to i ts geographical location, Egypt remains a center for regional trade. Beyond bilateral relations that go back to more than a century, Belgium and Egypt have a strong economic partnership as Egypt is considered has Belgium’s second largest economic partner in the arab world. The ABLCC Teamwishes to thank HE Cornet D’Elzius for convening this open exchange and for the confidence he has shown by entrusting our Chamber of Commerce the organization of this gathering.
