The current year recorded a growth in the number of factories existing in the country, with 21 factories joining the wheel of actual production. Industrial Sector Promising Future of Qatar has taken great strides towards bolstering its economy, particularly its industrial sector, by taking advantage of its oil revenues to promote oil and gas-related industries as well as basic industries while developing an advanced infrastructure capable of servicing national industries and responding to the sector’s future needs and challenges. In line with the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy (NDS), an NDS for local industries has been drafted with the aim of achieving the desired objectives through proper planning and the endorsement of a future vision aimed at contributing to and supporting the industrial development of the country.
